Buyer Terms
How to buy safely on CARVEXA — and what a verification badge does and doesn't mean.
Draft — prepared by CARVEXA for review by a qualified South African legal practitioner. It outlines our intended approach and must not be relied on as final legal advice until reviewed.
1. Using the marketplace
You may browse, enquire, compare and make offers. Treat listings and seller messages with normal caution: verification is not a guarantee of condition, ownership or legality.
2. 🚨 CARVEXA payment safety
- Never pay a deposit before independently verifying the vehicle, seller and viewing arrangements.
- Never pay into a personal bank account for an organisation's vehicle.
- CARVEXA will never ask for your password, OTP or banking PIN.
- If a seller asks you to pay 'my personal account to secure the car', CARVEXA will raise a high-risk payment warning — take it seriously and report the conversation.
3. Meeting safely
Meet at verified public locations, view the vehicle in person before paying, and bring someone you trust. Use CARVEXA's reporting tools for suspicious listings or payment requests.
4. Disputes
Vehicle sales contracts are between buyer and seller. CARVEXA assists with communication and safety controls but does not adjudicate private disputes, except where required by law.
